Jen and I got up early and
started for Durham.  Went to
New Glasgow and did a little
shopping.  Reached Sylvester at
four.  Aunt Hattie was waiting
for us.  They were all very busy
but we had a good time.

August 16, 1912

Spent the day quietly and in
evening went to a party Aunt
Anna gave for me.  Had an
awfully good time.  Wore my
black lace dress and a huge
bouquet of scarlet geraniums.
There was a nice crowd.  Hugh
Calder Isaac Macdonald James
Grant, Hugh Chisholm, Mr.
Kirken, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Grant,
J. Campbell, Wilma Bessie, Jen,
Jessie, May, Clara, and I.
Hugh Chisholm took me home.

Jen and I went down to
PineTree.  Hugh drove us to the

in time for diner.  Had a
very pleasant little visit.

In the evening Clara Grant

home we all walked down
with her.

We all went to church.  It
was good to be back in Spring-
ville and see all the home people.
Nothing startling happened during
the day.

Springville Presbyterian Church, originally built in 1853 by Rev. Angus MacGillivray, Georgie's grandfather. It still stands today, just north of the site of the MacGillivray homeplace known as Cottage Hill, where Georgie grew up.
