Cleopatra's Needle
Another lovely fine morning. Ben
Frank and I went for a long walk.
Miss Ethel was too tired from the night

before. Went down to Trafalgar Square
round Buckingham Palace (a bleak
looking place). Along "Rotten Row" through
St. James and Hyde Parks. Love the
beautiful statue of Queen Victoria in
the Park right near the palace. Went
along the embankment as far as
Cleopatra's needle. Took a car and
got home in time for lunch. Was
tired so did not go out again that
day.
